For those unaware, The Gothic Archies release The Tragic Treasury - Songs from A Series Of Unfortunate Events has Stephin Merritt (MF) with Lemony Snicket on Accordian and John Woo on electric sitar. It came out in '06. I highly recommend this for fans of Magnetic Fields and The 6ths, or anyone who digs strange, colorful music. Merritts voice and songwriting are in top form, and seem well-suited for the campy macabre framework. The album really kicks in on about song 7.
